NEWSLETTER

AUTUMN TERM 2

12th November 2024

We are now well into term two and before we know it Christmas will be upon us! We have been busy already with the children learning about the meaning of wearing a poppy. We made two poppy wreaths; one was laid by our MP during the Remembrance Service on Sunday and the other is on our wall that joins us to the library where the silhouette of the ‘Lest we forget’ soldier stands.

 

Children In Need – we will all be wearing our pyjamas and raffling a tub of chocolates for children in Need for the rest of this week.

Books – for the rest of this term, we will be learning about our favourite books, beginning with Owl Babies, and ending with Father Christmas needs a wee! The books will be read by a member of staff and can be found on our Facebook page, have a listen!!

Talking of Christmas – please put these dates in your diary.

 

MONDAY 2ND DECEMBER – our Christmas festivities begin. I have heard that our mischievous elves, Parsnip and Sprout are on their way. Look out for them!

 

FRIDAY 13th DECEMBER – Please pay all fees that are due. CASH please for lunches.

 

TUESDAY 17TH DECEMBER – Christmas party – everyone is invited, bring the family. Details to follow.

 

WEDNESDAY 18TH DECEMBER - Open morning, 10am – 12 noon.

(Open morning for the new children starting in January– 9 – 10 am)

NO LUNCH CLUB AND THIS WILL BE THE LAST DAY OF TERM.

 

CHILDREN RETURN ON TUESDAY 7TH JANUARY 2025

 

Clothing – we are missing a lot of our spare clothes which are not making their way back to us, we are short of pants and socks. If you have any that belong to us, we would love to have them back. Or if have any that do not fit your child anymore, we would be grateful for some.
